Do you ever find at times that it is hard for you to keep your peace in business or in life?
Have you ever found that your peace is linked to the changing circumstances that surround you?
If we’ve never met, my name is Brooke Amber and I teach burnt-out healthcare professionals how to launch, grow, and automate a business online so you can ditch the stress and create a life of freedom doing what you love!
Today I’ll share the secret to maintaining peace in business amid challenges.
I am talking about the kind of piece Biblical that surpasses all understanding. I want you to experience peace that lets you rest while building your business.
The Secret To Keeping Your Peace In Business
What I don’t want to see happen is for you to have an anxious state of mind that causes you to trade your peace in for something that God wants to rescue you from.
Many people settle for an anxious state of mind because they are used to it. They think it’s the only way to function.
My friend, it’s so important not trade success for a peacefulness that can only come from Christ.
You do not have to compromise on your peace while you build your business. I want to share three tips for operating in peace which will help your business grow and thrive.
Tip #1: Find your peace in the Giver, not the gift.
As you begin to evaluate how you are operating your business and emotions, ask yourself, “Am I putting my peace in the gift? Or the Giver?”
Consider the story of Job in the Bible. Job experienced tremendous blessings. In a moment they were taken away. Remarkably, Job praised God despite losing everything. He found peace not in possessions but in Jesus, the Giver.
Now if you are familiar with Jobs story, you know that God restored everything that Job lost. He even restored it bigger than it was before.
In business and life I think this is so important to make sure we’re putting our peace in the right place from the beginning of our journey.
Will the coming or going of those blessings shake your peace, or will it not disrupt it at all?
If you find your peace in the things you have, then it will continuously fluctuate. If your peace as an entrepreneur relies on how many likes, comments or followers you have, then I would say your peace is in the wrong thing. The good news is that you actually have access to the type of peace in the Bible that surpasses all understanding.
No matter what things come up in your life, you have the power through Christ to keep your peace as you build a business that glorifies Him.
Real quick if you’re finding value in this I want to invite you to join my free Facebook community. Its called The Work From Home Entrepreneur Community where I dive deeper into biblical business training tips for the new entrepreneur.
Tip # 2: Have an open hand mentality
God wants us to operate with an open hand type of mentality. When you have an open hand in life, this represents the fact that you are ready to give and receive gifts.
You see, gifts and blessings in life will come and go. If you tightly clench your fist around gifts and blessings that come into your life, losing them can leave you in a state of panic, greed, and anxiety.
If you have a closed hand mentality, it prevents you from not only receiving more into your life, but giving more as well.
So the question is, how do you know if you operate out of a state of peace or anxiety in your business?
Well, it’s not that hard. You see, let’s say life is going well for you. Then one day, someone takes away something important, or perhaps multiple things go wrong.
If your peace goes with it, then you know that you were placing your peace in the gift and not the one who gave it to you.
Christ is the giver of all good things. An open hand mentality allows you to have the things He gives you in your hand without clinging to it.
Tip #3: Focus on the things above and not on the things below.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Collosians 3:2
When you hold a position of influence, leadership, or authority, it’s important to remember that things come and go. This includes your bank account, finances, and the clients you acquire. You won’t take anything like that with you when you die.
If you lose any of those things….position, authority, revenue, clients….will it affect your peace in any way? Will you still be able to praise God through it all?
In life, God puts things and blessings into our lives to trust us to enjoy and even to manage.
You could be in a season of blessings or a season of hardship right now.
When believers stand firm amid life’s challenges, showcasing unwavering faith, others notice the rock they stand on. In business valleys, praising God glorifies Him, revealing a supernatural focus on eternity, not worldly things.
That spot, my friend, is where God can use you the most in your entrepreneurial journey.
When the enemy can get you dependent on what’s working right for you then he can make you a target.
He will mess with you in whatever areas you are placing your hope in.
That none of it matters because your peace is found in Jesus and you trust Him alone.
I hope you found value in this! Don’t forget to follow for more biblical business training tips. Leave a comment how this touched your heart. Join me weekly inside my free Facebook community called the work from home entrepreneur community .
I want to encourage you to continue to be intentional about placing your peace and hope in God. Remembering that no matter what happens in life, God will never leave or forsake us. My prayer is that you will praise God no matter what season your business is in. Your steadiness and where you put your peace is going to lay the foundation to have an eternal perspective.
Thank you for tuning in…take care now!
