Is spiritual warfare in business a real thing?

So, imagine this: You’re cruising through your online business, proudly wearing your title as a child of God, and bam! Here comes a special kind of attack from the enemy.

I’m no Bible expert by any stretch of the imagination.  Just a mom pursuing her entrepreneurial dreams who happens to also be passionate about studying God’s word. Spiritual warfare is a big deal for folks like us in business, something that many might not fully get.

In this episode, I’m going to break down how the enemy works and spill the beans on the his strategies to knock you off course from all the good stuff God has in store for you. I’m going to share why its crucial to gear up with the full armor of God to tackle those enemy attacks head-on.

First off, it’s crucial to understand that we’ve got a real enemy. His name is Satan. And you don’t need a theology degree to understand it.  The Bible makes it very clear that he prowls around like a roaring lion seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. For those of us in the business world: 

What does he want to steal? Your vision!

What does he want to kill? Your entrepreneurial spirit and your calling! 

What does he want to destroy? Your business, life, your faith, and your family. Literally everything about you he wants to destroy. 

He knows that once you become a child of God, he cannot take away your salvation or snatch you out of God’s hands. 

The enemy knows that where you are going after this life in eternity is secured but do you know what the enemy can do? 

He can trip you up especially in your business.

The enemy’s first trick is making us think there’s no battle going on in the spiritual realm. 

But here’s the scoop: when you grasp the idea of spiritual warfare, you’ll see that it’s all happening behind the scenes in the spiritual realm. And that means we can fight back in that realm too, not just in the day-to-day grind.

It’s so important to recognize the strategies of the enemy.  Now, these attacks don’t minimize your eternal future or salvation and I recognize that this life is temporary. BUT, we don’t want the enemy to hinder your calling, your life, or your marriage simply because you don’t know how to fight it. To the point where your doubt and discouragement  has crippled any action you could be taking in your business. 

So I want to share 4 tips to help you fight the inevitable spiritual battles with strength from above.

Tip #1: Understand Your Value

The enemy cannot change where you’re going after this life but he can absolutely try to break you on this side of heaven.  Think of the story of Job in the Bible.  Job had everything you could wish for.  He was incredibly blessed with family, wealth, health and things of that nature. 

Tip # 2: Understand God’s Love For You

Tip # 3: Continue to Stay Faithful To God

When facing overwhelming circumstances in your business, remember the story of Joseph.  Joseph was given a vision and he was highly favored by God and man.  But he ended up being sold into slavery, thrown in prison and even  being falsely accused of physical inappropriateness.  Despite his spiritual attacks, Job remained faithful and God blessed his faithfulness with favor and leadership opportunities that led to him being second in command over a nation.

Talk about feeling broken, discouraged, and abandoned.  But God stayed with him through it all and He will do the same for you if you let Him

Tip # 4: Stay Equipped

The attacks of the enemy work on a lot of people because they don’t know how to fight back and I don’t want you to be one of them.

Understanding the spiritual warfare on this side of your journey as a business owner is crucial.  We must learn how to be armored up and equipped.  You cannot go out onto this battlefield without your armor on.  

The business world is run by the enemy.  When you are a threat to the enemy, you enter his battle zone.  Your unique calling demands that you be properly equipped to step out onto the enemies battlefield and I hope to empower and encourage you as you do this.  Stay tuned for part 2 of this episode where I’m going to dive deeper into how to fully equip yourself with the armor of God.  Once you understand this and how to properly armor up, you’ll be ready to fight the battle ahead.
